Secret Project

Like any other developer out there I have a secret project (well, I have tons of secret projects in my home folder), but my secret project is so secret that it has also a code name:

I am working on this project with Paolo (3D artist) and Ale (2D artist) ... and I think I should be the code artist, so just a quick equation: one 3D artist + one 2D artist + one code artist = TOO MANY ARTISTS! that means no money from this project :-)

We are trying to complete level one and I am trying to finish vehicles physics for the Thursday morning meeting (in Parma).
I have read a very interesting article about Starting Your Own Game Company.

We are using Unity for our first game but I really think that REALbasic could be the perfect tool for a multiplatform game engine. I know that there is project that adds OpenGL support to RB (with declares) but I really think that real 3D support (not quesa please) is an area where RB could improve a lot in the future...

Tuscany (San Giminiano)

I live about 100 miles from the heart of Tuscany and even if I think that all round the Italy there are a lot of beautiful places, Tuscany is the the best one in my opinion. Wonderful villages rich of history and culture, delicious food, fabulous wines and incredible nature, this is Tuscany.

Every time we have a free weekend, my girlfriend (Giuly) and I, we take the car and we spend some time in Tuscany.
Florence is surely the most known city of the Tuscany, but there are really too many tourists so we prefer to go near Siena or in some small medieval village.

Last time we went to San Giminiano (between Florence and Siena) and these are some pictures for you...

It's snowing!

Today is snowing in the north of Italy and this is really a rare event in November.

I have taken some photos just out of my house...

This isn't a good news for me, mainly because I love sun and the summer time in general.

If you live in California or in some hot and sunny country you are really a lucky man. Seasons are changing very rapidly and last summer wasn't a good summer in Italy, so I really miss sun...

Pizza (my not so secret love)

Yes I know, I am a lucky man :-)
I live in Italy so I can really eat the best pizza in the world... and maybe I do this more often than I should :-)

Yesterday night I went to a local pizzeria called Giogo and trust me, it has one of the best pizza you can find in Italy.
The problem is that is is located in a very small country that you can't find in any map.

So this is my help for you:
Fly to Milan, take the highway A1 until Parma, from Parma go to Viadana and from Viadana ask someone for Buzzoletto.

So do you really want to come here to eat one of the best Italian's pizza?
OK, so I think I have to give you some more details.
From Milan to Parma there are about 120KM (74.5 Miles)
From Parma to Viadana there are about 30KM (18.6 Miles)
From Viadana to Buzzoletto there are about 2KM (1.2 Miles)

Total Miles: 94.3 ... Not so bad for an incredible pizza :-)

P.S. if you really plan to come for a pizza, give me a call, I live just 5 minutes away from Giogo

Clos (the Wine Bar)

Yes, I am Italian and yes, I love wine :-)
For us wine isn't simply something to drink, it is culture, it is history and the right companion to our delicious food.

Some weeks ago I went to Clos, a Wine Bar near Mantova (in the north of Italy). Wines was really good and the food was fantastic.

You can't miss it when you'll be ready for your Italian trip :-)

SQLiteManager 2.0

I am completely rewriting SQLiteManager 2.0. It will have a totally revamped user interface and a lot of new features.
I plan also to release a Linux version, even if I am not so sure about this point.
Any suggestion is welcomed!

Stay tuned for future news...

SQLabs WebLog

I've decided SQLabs should have its own weblog. It'll be a place for us to talk about currently shipping products, as well as ideas and plans for the future. I have also decided to use this blog to post some personal information about me and my life.
