REAL SQL Server

After more than a year of hard work I am very proud to announce that the REAL SQL Server (was SQLiteServer) is now available.

I'll post technical documents, information and tips and tricks about "my baby" in this blog. More information about the server are available at REAL Software.

My new MacBook

My new MacBook has arrived yesterday and I just finished installing all the applicationa I need (after an erase and install of MacOS X). The photo is a little too dark ... but I really like the Hellgate background :-)

Tomorrow I should receive my 2GB of ram, ordered through ebay.com at http://www.omnitechnologies.biz/ for $180 (with shipping and handling to Italy, it seems like a very good price for me. In Italy it costs nearly twice as much).

So far it seems to be a very good and well designed machine, and I agree with Bartelme's review ... only the WiFi network is giving me a lot of trouble, Airport seems to lose connection with my wireless router very frequently with no apparent reasons. I suspect this is a known issue of the new MacBook and I hope to see a fix from Apple soon.

Italy again

There was one million people yesterday night to receive our team at Circo Massimo in Rome.

I just changed my cellphone ringtone with our new unofficial hymn: Po Popo Popopo Po

Proud to be Italian!

Thanks guys.

P.S. I am really sorry for Zidane, he is a great champion, but not this time, not in his last match...

Exciting time

This is an exciting time for Mac developers, especially for Cocoa gurus.
If you have a good idea this is really the right time to try to realize your dreams.

What I like about my job is the creativity I can put in every line of code I write and the imagination I can explore each time I have to think about a new project.

I think to have had the right idea, so I am very excited about it, about my future and about the development time I will have to invest in this project. This new application will be my first "big" Cocoa project so I will be forced to learn new concepts, read more books and increase my skills. I can't be wrong if I invest into myself and in my skills.

I know I should go to WWDC in San Francisco from 7 to 11 August, and Brian Ball was so kind to invite me but I really do not think to be able to come for this year. This is the second time in 2006 that I have to renounce to an USA event. Next year should be very different ;-)

SQLiteConverter and more

Development of SQLiteConverter is proceeding well as you can see from this alpha screenshot.

This month should be very important for me from a professional point of view.
Unfortunaly I have a NDA to respect so I can't post more information until the official news will be revelead.

I need also to take a vacancy because too many things happened recently in my life and I really need to take a breathe.
Any idea?
Any invitation for me? :-)
